Why a New Name?

NYC Ministries, Inc. will now be known as SpreadTruth.

As ministry began to expand beyond New York, we knew the time was right to change the name to something that embraced our expanded vision. With recent teams sent to help with Hurricane Katrina affected areas, basketball camps, English as a second language programs in various cities in the U.S. and abroad, NYC Ministries was getting bigger as God was expanding the impact.

In 2006, NYC Ministries was officially renamed SpreadTruth. SpreadTruth has now become the umbrella for seven different ministries including NYC Ministries. New staff has been added, new outlets for ministry and outreach, and a new marketing campaign has launched.


Some names are new, the vision has expanded, but the purpose remains the same: to make known the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
