Creating a Habit of Evangelism
Steph Curry is the all-time leader of three-point shots in the NBA; 91% of his free-throw shots are successful.
But that doesn’t just come naturally; he shoots 500 shots a day in practice. He has made intentional practice a habit, so when the time comes to make it count, he can do it. A good habit is the beginning of every goal you’ve met or growth you’ve made. Habits are powerful.

Here are a few practical steps to using this great tool that will help you build the habit of evangelism RIGHT NOW, even before the app launches!
- First, pray for opportunities! You can be preparing NOW for conversations you don’t even know you’ll have. Pray for those opportunities in the future!
- Second, look for the opportunities that you prayed for in the places God has already put you–in your hobbies, community events, and outreach activities your church is involved in. Chances are, they are right under your nose.
- Third, take advantage of gospel-sharing resources. The Story App is a great place to start! It even has notification features that will help you build the habit of evangelism.
- Fourth and finally, step out in faith, trusting that if God provides the opportunity and the resources, He will also give you the right words to say.
