The Story Behind the Story App
The Story App was created to make sharing God’s story as simple and impactful as possible.
Everyone needs a story to make sense of life, and the Bible provides the one true narrative that answers life’s deepest questions. Yet today, many people have no Biblical foundation or knowledge of the gospel. They might know about Jesus or bits and pieces of the overarching narrative of the Bible, but they don’t know the whole story.
That’s why we created The Story. Originally published as a hardcopy booklet in 2009, The Story explains the gospel from the 10,000-foot view through four simple points: Creation, The Fall, Rescue, and Restoration.
Over time, we adapted the booklet into an engaging animated film (The Story Film), a children’s gospel film (The Storymaker), and now the app.
