ANSWERING YOUR QUESTIONS

Kenya Mission Trip FAQs

How does airfare work since participants travel out of different airports?

Each team member is responsible for arranging their flights. After you sign up, you’ll receive more details about the arrival and departure window.

What does a typical day of ministry look like?

Each day will begin with breakfast and a time of devotion. You’ll then head out to engage in one of the mission activities, followed by lunch, more ministry work, and a debriefing session in the evening. However, we encourage everyone to stay flexible! Things can change at the last minute!

Do I need specific vaccines or medicine?

It’s important to consult with the CDC guidelines along with your medical provider regarding vaccines and any other medications you may need for Kenya.

Do I need a visa?

A visa is required to enter Kenya. We will provide guidance on obtaining your visa once you’ve been accepted for the trip.

What if I don’t have enough money to go?

We understand that raising funds for a mission trip can feel overwhelming, but don’t let financial concerns stop you! Many participants raise support by reaching out to friends, family, and their church community. We’ll provide you with a fundraising letter template and helpful tips to guide you in building a support team. Trust that God often works through the generosity of others to make these opportunities possible.

What should I pack?

We’ll provide a detailed packing list with your orientation information to ensure you bring everything you need!

Will we have an opportunity to go sightseeing?

Kenya is a beautiful country! We have a full ministry schedule but there will be some optional fun activities for you to enjoy!
